Borussia Dortmund extends SPORTFIVE marketing partnership through 2034

Borussia Dortmund announced on November 5, 2026, that it has renewed its agreement with SPORTFIVE Germany GmbH through June 30, 2034. The early extension adds three years to the term previously disclosed in the club's 2025/2026 annual report.

A partnership dating to 1999

SPORTFIVE has worked with Borussia Dortmund, also known as BVB, on the club's marketing since 1999. Under the renewed agreement, the agency will continue recruiting and supporting sponsors and partners, developing commercial opportunities and marketing hospitality offerings at SIGNAL IDUNA PARK.

The eight-time German champion attributed the early renewal to the partners' record of meeting shared goals, their established relationship of trust and positive economic developments. In its announcement distributed through EQS News, BVB said the longer agreement gives both sides greater certainty for planning.

The club's annual report had listed June 30, 2031, as the previous expiration date. It also lists long-term strategic sponsorship agreements with the Vodafone Group through 2030, PUMA International Sports Marketing B.V. through 2034 and the SIGNAL IDUNA Group through 2031.

Women's soccer, e-sports and hospitality

SPORTFIVE's responsibilities also cover marketing for BVB's women's soccer and e-sports operations, according to the 2025/2026 annual report. The agency's BVB partnership page says the women's team was founded in October 2020 and earned four consecutive promotions. It is playing the 2026/27 season in the Regionalliga West, the third tier of German women's soccer.

The same partnership page offers sponsors access to BVB's business network of around 800 companies.

Beyond its work for Dortmund, SPORTFIVE says it markets the world's largest portfolio of hospitality packages and premium experiences. Its offerings cover the Bundesliga, other leading international leagues, motorsport, concerts and cultural events.

New business opportunities and international reach

BVB and SPORTFIVE plan to develop existing partnerships while pursuing new business areas, new approaches to sponsorship activation and a stronger international position for the club. Their stated goals include supporting BVB's commercial success and creating partnerships that benefit both brands and fans.

One example of SPORTFIVE's work in new business areas is the renewal of BVB's agreement with IT service provider adesso, announced on September 3, 2026. Brokered by the agency, the four-year extension runs through the end of June 2030 and gives adesso the role of BVB's Digital Excellence and AI Performance Partner.

Share and dividend data

The market data accompanying the announcement showed Borussia Dortmund shares at 3.125 on Tradegate BSX at 10:03 a.m. on November 5, 2026, up 1.63%. The club's most recent dividend, paid in 2025, was 0.06, corresponding to a yield of 1.82%.

The three latest analysts' price targets averaged 5.00 euros. Both the lowest and highest targets were also 5.00 euros, with the accompanying data reporting an upside of 60% at either end of the range.
